Water supply alert: Kimberley residents face disruption due to burst pipe

A BURST pipe in Reservoir Road, New Park, has resulted in a temporary water supply interruption in Kimberley and surrounding areas. The Sol Plaatje Municipality has switched off pumps at Newton Reservoirs to facilitate urgent repair work.

Impact on residents:

Low tap pressure to no-tap-flow: Residents in high-lying areas, including the Kimberley CBD and surrounding suburbia, can expect low tap pressure to no-tap-flow for approximately three hours.

Inconvenience: The municipality apologises for the inconvenience this may cause and is working to restore the water supply as soon as possible.

Repair work:

The municipality's Waterworks team will undertake urgent repair work to fix the burst pipe. The Sol Plaatje Municipality appreciates residents' understanding and cooperation during this time
