THE ZF Mgcawu district commissioner, Major-General Monica Sebili, extended a warm welcome to three newly appointed provincial traffic inspectors in Upington this week.
During a formal introduction, Major-General Sebili was joined by Upington station commander Brigadier Peet Coetzee and Human Resources Management commander Lieutenant-Colonel Riaan Smith. The newly appointed officials - Isak Van Wyk (a former PSA member in the SAPS), Tiro Tshipa, and Alana Swartz - were introduced in the presence of their Chief Provincial Inspector, Gideon September.
Northern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Omphile Masegela confirmed that the new recruits will be stationed in the ZF Mgcawu District.
In her address on February 12, Major-General Sebili highlighted the importance of teamwork, discipline, safety, and professionalism. She expressed confidence in the new appointees’ abilities and looked forward to future collaborations in joint law enforcement operations.
Chief Inspector September, speaking on behalf of senior management, expressed gratitude to Major-General Sebili and her team for their support.
The appointment of the new traffic officials is expected to strengthen road safety efforts and enforcement initiatives in the district.
