"FOREVER" fans don't have to be sad that Keisha and Justin's love story ended; maybe they will reunite next season.
Yes, you read right. Streaming giant Netflix has confirmed that the hit series has been renewed for a second season.
For those who haven't gotten on the "Forever" train yet, what are you waiting for?
In the first season, viewers follow the endearing journey of Keisha (Lovie Simone) and Justin (Michael Cooper Jr.), two Black teenagers navigating the complexities of young love against the backdrop of sunny Los Angeles circa 2018.
Their story begins at a New Year’s Eve reunion after years apart, leading to a whirlwind romance that captures the highs and lows of first love.
Keisha, an A+ student and an ambitious track star, epitomises determination in her pursuit of a future at Howard University.
Meanwhile, Justin, who is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), grapples with self-discovery, entertaining the expectations imposed by his parents while dreaming of a personal future beyond basketball and academia.

The series confronts relatable teenage issues, including miscommunication, societal pressures, and the unique obstacles encountered by Black youth in predominantly white spaces.
In an online interview, Cooper Jr. commented: "The show really taught me the importance of self-love."
With the renewal for season 2, viewers can expect a fresh narrative direction as the two characters embark on new journeys of self-discovery apart from each other.
During an interview online, creator Mara Brock Akil, who is responsible for shows such as "Girlfriends" and "Being Mary Jane", planted intriguing questions for the audience - what will Keisha's experience be at Howard? Will Justin find clarity during his gap year?
The season one finale concluded with Justin quietly echoing Frank Ocean’s poignant, “Maybe we’ll be ready for each other in 10 years,” leaving fans wondering about the prospects of their future.
This cliffhanger has fans eagerly awaiting a reunion that will hopefully come much sooner.
