The MET is the crown jewel of the Cape Summer Festival of Racing—a season that started in November and has been building up to this very moment.
The 2,000m Grade 1 World Sports Betting Cape Town MET race boasts a R5 million purse, up from R2 million last year, and promises to deliver world-class racing.
Last year’s race delivered a thrilling upset, with DOUBLE SUPERLATIVE charging across the line at 33/1, courtesy of British jockey Daniel Muscutt.
This year, the anticipation is palpable, with fans already placing their bets and selecting their outfits.
