GQ’s Baby Driver Movie Night saw guests walk away with more than entertainment

If you haven’t heard of 2017’s most talked about movie yet, you might have bigger problems facing you (perhaps you’ve been in a prison, or in solitary confinement in a prison). But for everyone else, hype hasn’t been served in such spoonfuls for anything on a screen (except maybe season 7 of GoT) like it has for Baby Driver.

Lead by Ansel Elgort, the knockout cast fall into place on what seems like just another getaway driver action flick with a side of tainted love, and yet you are missing one essential point. This here film was written and directed by the genius of Edgar Wright. So certain was the man of which soundtrack he needed to film to, that he placed scenes to tracks long before the rights had been secured. GQ premiered the movie in association with Ster Kinekor and fragrance partners S. Bacher, making sure that everyone in attendance went into the theatre smelling like a GQ man should.
