CV: SA’s award-winning DJ, producer and keyboardist first cut his musical teeth as part of his school’s choir, then studied music theory at the Natal Technikon where he met the other members of his group, Shana.
Break out: The Red Bull Music Academy in 2003. His remix of trumpeter Bra Hugh Masekela’s classic protest jazz anthem, “Stimela” mainlined some much needed imagination and soul into an SA house scene dominated by festive floor fillers.
