Charlton’s remarkable coaching abilities were recognised when he was awarded the prestigious title of CSA Division 2 Coach of the Year for the 2021/22 season. This accolade not only solidified his position as a coach but also highlighted his role within the Northern Cape cricket fraternity.

Thapelo January, CEO of the NC Cricket Union, expressed his delight at Charlton’s decision to remain with the team, especially in light of numerous offers from outside the province.
