Newton Primary School Cricket Update
Under-11A Cricket Team Matches
On Friday, October 11, Kimberley’s Newton Primary’s Under-11A cricket team faced Saint Andrews Under-11As from Bloemfontein. Saint Andrews won the toss and opted to bat first, posting a score of 119/7.
Newton responded brilliantly, chasing down the total and reaching 120/1, winning the match by 9 wickets!

It was a fantastic match, and Newton secured an impressive victory!
Then on Saturday, October 12, Newton Under-11A took on Saint Andrews Under-11A again. This time, Newton won the toss and elected to bat first, setting a competitive total of 159.
Saint Andrews was bowled out for 106, giving Newton a solid win by 53 runs!

Under-11B Cricket Team Matches
On Friday, 11 October 2024, Newton Under-11B faced Saint Andrews Under-11B. Newton batted first, posting a total of 104/5. Saint Andrews chased the score with 108/3, winning the match by 7 wickets.

On Saturday, October 12, Newton’s Under-11B team played against the Saint Andrews Under-11Bs. Newton won the toss and chose to bat first, scoring 131 all out. Saint Andrews chased down the target, finishing with 132/5, winning by 5 wickets.
