Thole CA take honours in NC Indoor Soccer Social League

The Northern Cape Indoor Social League’s Season 1 concluded with a tightly contested final match held at the De Beers Athletic Club, where Thole CA clinched the championship by defeating Six Skippas with a narrow 1-0 margin.

This victory crowned Thole CA as the season champions, a fitting end to another thrilling season of indoor soccer.

Though not a mainstream sporting event, the Northern Cape Indoor Social League has nevertheless been a staple in the region for the past six years, offering an activity that promotes a healthy lifestyle and provides invaluable networking opportunities for working professionals and entrepreneurs.

Season 1 of this year, which kicked off in March, showcased an impressive level of competition and community spirit, culminating in the recent final.

Kgatliso Manake, chairman of the Northern Cape Indoor Social League, praised the enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by all participants throughout the season.

“The encouragement from the sidelines and the vibrant atmosphere were remarkable. It was wonderful to see such a strong sense of community and camaraderie,” Manake told the DFA.

Thole CA’s dominance was evident throughout the season, as they were leading the log with an impressive 154 points. Chris Hani FC followed in second place with 121 points, while Skippas FC secured third place with 89 points.

Despite their best efforts, Masokolara FC, Rapid Response FC, and Diamond FC ended lower down the pecking order.

The conclusion of Season 1 not only celebrated the winners but also highlighted the league’s ongoing commitment to fostering community and promoting fitness.

As participants look forward to the upcoming Season 2, the spirit of competition and camaraderie is expected to continue thriving, reinforcing the Northern Cape Indoor Social League’s reputation as a cornerstone of local sports and social interaction.
