The Mighty Reds Football Club has clinched the title of the Frances Baard Hollywood Bets Men’s Regional League champions for the 2023/24 season.

This marks their second consecutive league victory for the club, formed in 2018 and based in Warrenton, solidifying their position as a dominant force in regional football.

Last Sunday the team was crowned champions after their 3-1 play-off victory over Falcon City at Vaal Rivier School in Barkly.

Club Chairman Mothusimang Letsholo expressed pride and gratitude, emphasising the team’s sacrifice, discipline, and consistency after the Frances Baard branch of the South African Football Association crowned Mighty Reds.

“This victory is not just about the final score,” said Letsholo. “It’s about the journey and the memories we’ve created along the way.”

Mighty Reds’ rise began in 2018, leading to their promotion to the regional league in 2020.

Letsholo thanked the players, management, supporters, coaching staff, and SAFA Frances Baard, under President Gladwyn White, for their roles in the team’s success. “This victory is for the entire community of Magareng. We now have a strong team capable of competing at all levels, motivating many young people in Warrenton,” he noted.

As Mighty Reds celebrate their back-to-back championships, they continue to inspire and unite their community through their dedication and spirit.
