Suspect nabbed with stolen generator

THE MOTHIBISTAD police arrested a man who was found in possession of a suspected stolen generator at his home on the weekend.

Members of the Mothibistad SAPS A Relief team under the command of Warrant Officer Keatlile Kenosi, Sergeant Bonolo Lesabe and Constable Nasi attended to a complaint of business burglary at Kagung on Sunday at around 7.50am.

Police spokesperson Captain Nomvuyo Makoloi said the owner of the tuck shop showed the police officials the CCTV footage, apparently clearly showing the suspect .

“Members searched the home of the suspect and they found a red Ryobi 6,800-watt generator that was identified as belonging to the complainant.

“The 31-year-old suspect was arrested and charged. He is expected to appear in the Mothibistad Magistrate’s Court soon,” Makaloi added.
