SOL PLAATJE Municipality has reopened Pniel Road and North Circular Road as part of a resealing and resurfacing project that was completed in the city.

Municipal spokesperson Thabo Mothibi explained that the resealing of North Circular Road, from the Pniel Road intersection to the Green Street and Tucker Road section, had to be postponed during September due to bad weather and “logistical challenges”.

The road was temporarily closed between October 28 to 29, while traffic was redirected during peak hours.

“Motorists and other road users of this major and high traffic volume route, can now enjoy a resurfaced and silky-smooth road,” Mothibi noted.
