Relatives of accident victim sought

The Roodepan Detective Unit is seeking the assistance of members of the public in finding the relatives of an unknown man who is hospitalised at the Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital in Kimberley after he was apparently hit by a taxi.

According to Northern Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Molefi Shemane, the man is in a serious condition in hospital.

“The unknown man was apparently knocked over by a taxi on Tuesday, July 30 2024 in Barkly Road near Coro Bricks. He is being treated at the Robert Mangaliso Hospital and is in a serious condition and is unable to speak.

“Police are urging anyone with information that can assist in locating the relatives of the man, to contact the investigating officers, Detective Captain, Ten Slambert, on 071 675 4427 or Sergeant Melanie Boughan on 084 406 8772 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111,” Shemane said.
