A 30-year-old man who was arrested on Sunday in connection with the Jenhaven murder in Postmasburg is expected to appear in the local magistrate’s court soon.
A 30-YEAR-old man who was arrested on Sunday in connection with the Jenhaven murder in Postmasburg is expected to appear in the local magistrate’s court soon.
Postmasburg SAPS communication officer, Warrant Officer Nomvuyo Makoloi said the suspect was arrested on January 23.
“The incident took place on January 20, at around 4.40pm, following a fight, where the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim twice and he was later declared dead on the scene,” said Makoloi.
She added that the 37-year-old victim, Marnus Maarman, was found in Kerk Street, covered in blood.
“According to reports, the victim was stabbed by a male suspect who fled the scene.”
Makoloi said the suspect was arrested by Detective Sergeant Gontse Gwai and shift members on Sunday.
“The community is also appreciated for information that led to the tracing and arrest of the suspect,” added Makoloi.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Postmasburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
