KANGNAS Wind Farm put the importance of learning your ABCs into action by installing interactive whiteboards at Concordia Primary School in Springbok.

This initiative was made possible through the funding provided by Kangnas Wind Farm’s Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) Grant.

The economic development manager of Kangnas Wind Farm, Rouchet Daniels, explained that the interactive whiteboards are designed to enhance learning through cutting-edge technology.

“Education is one of our primary focus areas and we are committed to providing the necessary resources that will empower both teachers and learners. The school’s application for funding was approved based on its alignment with this vision of improving educational quality. Driven by a vision to provide equal education opportunities for all, the school’s focus on integrating technology is part of a broader effort to ensure that all 659 learners have the tools they need to succeed academically, while also preserving their human dignity. Overall, the boards promote a more dynamic and inclusive learning environment, fostering both student engagement and academic achievement,” said Daniels.

A teacher at Concordia Primary School, Chante van Wyk, highlighted the impact of the new boards on learner participation.

“The new boards are amazing. I can make notes while teaching and the children are much more engaged, especially when we watch subject-related videos. It has truly changed the dynamic in the classroom, particularly in mathematics, where the school has previously struggled. The interactive whiteboards are able to capture the attention of the learners through multimedia presentations. The interactive lessons and dynamic content make learning more engaging,” said Van Wyk.
