The Kimberley police have opened an inquest docket after the body of a 39-year-old man was discovered by a passer-by along the N12 road to Ritchie on November 13.

THE KIMBERLEY police have opened an inquest docket after the body of a 39-year-old man was discovered by a passer-by along the N12 road to Ritchie on November 13.

It is believed that the man had been reported missing on November 11.

Northern Cape SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said on Monday that the police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

“Anyone with information that might assist the police in solving this case is requested to contact Detective Warrant Officer Thabang Kamolane on 082 302 0407, call the Crime Stop number 08600 10111, or use the MySAPS app. All information will be treated confidentially. Police investigations are continuing,” he stated.
