Kagisho police seek help tracing ‘person of interest’ in murder probe

THE KAGISHO police have appealed to the public for assistance in tracing a person of interest connected to a murder investigation. The case involves the death of 27-year-old Andries Jacobs, a resident of Zombo Jansen Street in Kutlwanong, Galeshewe.

According to Northern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam, preliminary investigations revealed that Jacobs was assaulted by unknown individuals and later succumbed to his injuries at the Robert Mangaliso Sobukhwe Hospital in Kimberley on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

The police are looking for a man known as “Ronald”, whose photograph has been shared, as he may have information that could help solve the case.

Sergeant Sam said that anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Dineo Motseothatha at the Kagisho police station by calling 082 469 0236 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111. Alternatively, tips can be submitted via the MySAPS app.

He emphasised that all information will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.
