THE KAGISHO police are investigating a murder case following the discovery of a 33-year-old man’s body in a house in Snake Park, Phuthanang, on Monday.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam stated that preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased, who lived with his 61-year-old mother, had exhibited violent behaviour on Sunday, November 3. He reportedly threatened his mother with a knife, prompting her to scream for help. Neighbours responded to her cries for help and intervened.

According to reports, the neighbours apparently removed the man from the house. He later returned in the afternoon, appearing to have been assaulted by unidentified members of the community.

The police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying those responsible.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Kagisho SAPS or Detective Sergeant Donna Palm at 060 972 3262, or Crime Stop at 08600 10111. Information can also be shared via the MySAPS app.
