THE EDUCATE A Boy Child non-profit organisation (NPO) will host a “Back-to-School Package” fund-raiser on December 7 to assist pupils who have dropped out of school, helping them return to classes next year.

The NPO’s secretary, Fikile Mocwana, highlighted that many primary and high school pupils often abandoned their schooling because they did not have school uniforms.

“We aim to help children to achieve their dreams and to find purpose in their lives, instead of mixing with the wrong crowd and becoming involved in drugs and loitering in the streets,” Mocwana said.

He said members of the public were encouraged to drop off school clothes of all sizes or any other additional items at the Galeshewe circle in Vergenoeg from 8am until 6pm on Saturday.

“Tickets will be sold in order to set up a school uniform bin to purchase school shirts, trousers, shoes and school bags. We also invite everyone to buy a plate of braaivleis for R70.” Mocwana added.
