CONCERNED community members, along with members of the MK Party, held a vigil outside a tuck shop in Galeshewe on Sunday night to prevent it from opening after the death of a four-year-old girl, who allegedly consumed food purchased from the shop.

SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam stated that the Galeshewe police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the girl's death, as well as the hospitalisation of her uncle on October 20.

“The police are investigating the circumstances that led to her death. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of her death. The investigation is continuing,” he said.
