Cops seize cash and drugs in Valspan

THE OPERATION Vala Umgodi team in the Frances Baard District arrested a 19-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman in Valspan, Jan Kempdorp after they were found in possession of crystal meth (tik) with an estimated street value of R7,400 on June 4.
SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Molefi Shemane said cash believed to be the proceeds of drug sales was confiscated from identified houses in Valspan.
“The police furthermore arrested a 44-year-old suspect for obstructing police in the execution of their duties and resisting arrest.
“All three suspects will appear in court soon.”
Shemane added that disruptive actions addressing illicit mining and related crimes would continue throughout the district.
