V3 CONSULTING Engineers’ Kimberley office recently donated gift packs to beneficiaries from the Reamogeleng Community Organisation, a non-profit organisation (NPO) based in Pampierstad that cares for individuals with albinism in the Northern Cape.

V3 Consulting Engineers’ Kimberley administrator, Maché Ferreira, said the NPO was identified through the engineering firm’s socio-economic development programme.

“We decided to support them and donated various products and hosted 45 beneficiaries for a fun-filled afternoon. The event was held at Eden EST and transport was provided to and from the event by sponsors,” said Ferreira.

She added that during the event, various speakers shared meaningful and motivational messages.

“An information session was held on the stigma surrounding albinism, the challenges they face, what the condition entails, and what their call to action is. Donations were handed over and laughter-filled conversations were held over lunch. It was clear that all in attendance were touched by each other’s support and positive outlooks, regardless of circumstances or backgrounds.”

Ferreira affirmed that they would continue to support the centre, stating, “The V3 family will continue to support individuals with albinism.”
