THE SPRINGBOK SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit has requested the public’s assistance in tracing a 16-year-old mentally challenged boy, Ruwaiden Whitlow, from Buffelsrivier near Komaggas.
Northern Cape police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock said the teenager was last seen on September 18.
“Ruwaiden was last seen near a farm in Komaggas, but allegedly ran away when the police were called. He was last seen wearing a white jacket with blue tracksuit pants and flops,” said Kock.
“The members of the Springbok FCS joined the members of Komaggas SAPS and the SAPS Search and Rescue team to fine-comb the farms and surrounding areas in search for Ruwaiden. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the missing teenager is encouraged to contact Captain Love on 082 874 4532 or SMS anonymously to 32211 or use the MySAPS app.”
Kock reminded the public that there is no waiting period in reporting a person missing.
