The new adidas x Stella McCartney fall/winter 2024 collection pays homage to women who have reclaimed their strength.
WE have just wrapped the Olympic Games Paris 2024 but celebrations are still under way – that is why Stella McCartney honours all the sports persons with an electrifying collection.
In partnership with adidas, McCartney has unveiled a fall/winter 2024 collection.
Unlike most collections, this hero collection shines a spotlight on an important but often overlooked part of athletes’ training journey – recovery.
“The latest iteration of the adidas by Stella McCartney strength collection elevates the everyday sports performance wardrobe, paying homage to 70s and 80s workout wear through contemporary cuts in beam-printed florals.
“Spirited pops of orange, neon green, magenta and royal blue are contrasted with softer hues of coral pink and camel, with items designed for athletes to mix and match individual looks through layering.
“Offering both a fashion edge and functionality, the collection blends adidas performance technology such as aero ready to support next-gen athletes through every stretch and stride,” read the statement from the brand.
In this hero collection, McCartney pays homage to women who have reclaimed their strength despite all the challenges and responsibilities they are faced with.
Women celebrated in the collection include Olympic champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo, who reveals how childbirth has unlocked a new level of strength within her.
Model Anja Konstantinova reflects on motherhood and its transformative impacts. Meanwhile, photographer and model Kimbra Audrey bravely opens up about her mastectomy journey and make-up artist turned powerlifter Carlotta Boattini emphasises the crucial role of rest and self-care.
“I’m so excited to explore the power of recovery through this collection and delve into how our community uses movement to regain and maintain strength.
“We hope the vivid hues and patterns in the edit help them to experience and enjoy recovery at any stage,” said McCartney.
“I hope you love delving into the collection as much as I have, and it inspires you to see recovery in all its forms as a feat of great strength and beauty,” she added.
