The Kimberley SAPS Serious and Violent Crimes unit are investigating a culpable homicide after an unknown female was killed during a road accident near the Shell Ultra in Kimberley on December 21.

SAPS Northern Cape provincial spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Sergio Kock said the woman was trying to cross the road on Saturday at about 5am.

“She was allegedly knocked over by a Volkswagen transporter and died on the scene.

“The grey Volkswagen vehicle was transporting six occupants and all escaped the accident unscathed.”

He stated that the deceased was estimated to be in her thirties, light in complexion, with black hair, about 1,6 meters tall and was of medium build.

“She was dressed in a blue jeans, blue top and was wearing white Crocs. Anyone with information regarding the accident can call Detective Sergeant Modise Moshotloa on 082 302 0407 or contact 08600 10111 or utilise the MySaps app. The investigation continues,” he added.
