The results from the Kimberley Golf Club for the week of August 30 – 4 September 2022 are as follows:

The Wednesday Barend Burger Brokers sponsored IPS competition was won by Siewert Wild on 40 pts with Fred Wyngaardt 2nd on 39 pts on a count-out over Gavin Schafer also on 39 pts.

The Thursday KWV sponsored Niner was won by Braam Botes on 26 pts with Wedge Crozier 2nd on 21 pts on a count-out over Keith Brown also on 21 pts.

The Friday Farmers Cup Corporate Day was won by Cecil Wiley with 44 pts.

The results of the Saturday Horseshoe-Airport and Kalahari sponsored Medal and IPS competition’s various categories are as follows: Best medal net Leon Blom; Best gross Danie Liebenberg and Best IPS score Helena Janse.

The Saturday weekly Charlies outing was won by Leon Blom with 44 pts.

Also the monthly Northern Cape Seniors outing playing the Odds and Evens BBS format was won by the pair of Nigel Page and Wedge Crozier with Wedge also taking the individual best score prize. The duffer prize went to Wayne Green.

The Terminators are leading the Sealing Solutions Sunday League on 72 pts.

Today: The Saint Patricks CBC 125th Anniversary Celebration Golf Day. Book at the Golf Shop 0538410484.

Tomorrow: The Beefmaster sponsored KGC President’s golf day with IPS format. Book at the Golf Shop. Also the weekly Charlies outing.

Sunday, September 11: Social golf with special rates.

Monday, September 12: Course closed as usual but remember the office is open for business.

Tuesday, September 13: Social golf with special rates applying.

Wednesday, September 14: The Konica Minolta sponsored BBS competition.

Thursday, September 15: The KWV Sponsored Niner with a special rate for a golf cart of R150.

Friday, September 16: Social Golf. Seven Senior golfers leave to play in the annual Graaff Reinet tournament.

Saturday, September 17: Normal KGC IPS competition. Seniors Graaff Reinet tournament.

Sunday, September 18: Social golf with special rates applying. Seniors Graaff Reinet tournament.

• Bookings for the annual Barney Barnato tournament are also open with the entry form published on the KGC website. Once booked and paid please send the club proof of payment so that the booking can be reserved.
