City cops nab man allegedly dealing in dagga

The man was allegedly found in possession of one kilogram of dagga and 10 dagga muffin cakes.

THE KIMBERLEY SAPS are investigating a case of dealing in dagga after a man, 55, was found in possession of one kilogram of dagga and 10 dagga muffin cakes worth approximately R105 000.

Police spokesperson, Captain Sergio Kock said members of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigations (DPCI) conducted patrols and observation duties at a local bus stop in Kimberley on August 25 at about 1am.

“The members spotted the suspect collecting a parcel from the bus which contained dagga and arrested him.”

He added that the arrest led to another investigation in Phutanang, Galeshewe, where more dagga was seized.

“The suspect was charged for dealing in dagga and was scheduled to appear in the Kimberley Magistrates Court on 26 August 26. The investigation continues.”
